Sonic x Shadow Generations Hits Switch 2 on June 5

SEGA is bringing speed and style back to the spotlight with Sonic x Shadow Generations, launching on June 5, 2025, for Nintendo Switch 2. This title merges nostalgia with new narrative depth by combining a version of 2011’s Sonic Generations with an entirely new Shadow-focused campaign.

In the Shadow storyline, players explore events that expand on Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog, facing off against iconic villains like Black Doom and Metal Overlord. Shadow is armed with new “Doom Powers” including Doom Spike, Doom Wing, Doom Surf, and Doom Morph, which give him unique mobility and combat options.

The game’s dual structure allows fans to relive classic Sonic levels with improved visuals while diving into fresh gameplay designed specifically for Shadow’s darker, more intense playstyle. Expect smooth performance and upgraded graphics on Switch 2.
