Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Hardcore Mode Arrives Next Week

More Anti-Henry Perks

Warhorse Studios has officially announced that Hardcore Mode is coming to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 next week. The update brings with it a suite of punishing challenges, forcing players to rethink how they survive and explore medieval Bohemia.

Shared via X , the studio teased a list of ten negative traits (perks) that protagonist Henry can inherit in Hardcore Mode:

  • Numbskull

  • Somnambulant

  • Bad Back

  • Bashful

  • Picky Eater

  • Sweaty

  • Menace

  • Heavy Footed

  • Punchable Face

  • Hangry Henry

While the specific effects haven’t been detailed, these perks are expected to introduce various limitations. For example, Picky Eater might prevent Henry from consuming certain food items, adding extra tension when managing hunger and stamina.

What Makes Hardcore Mode Different?

Just like in the original game, navigation tools are heavily restricted:

  • No compass or map marker. Henry’s position will no longer be visible, pushing players to rely on landmarks and environmental clues.

  • Star-based navigation. A developer revealed that an authentic star map from early summer 1403 has been implemented, allowing players to navigate by the night sky—an impressive historical touch.
