Hades II Expands to Both Generations of Switch
Hades was, for me, an experience where reflexes met tactics — full of combo experiments and speedrun attempts. With weapon variations and tight combat flow, I spent a lot of time immersed in its world. Now, Supergiant Games is expanding that universe with Hades II.
This time, we’re not playing as Zagreus, but as Melinoë — his sister — who faces off against a mythological threat: Chronos. A new protagonist, new enemies, and a new rhythm. The visuals and soundtrack carry the same energy as before, if not better.
However, the game is currently only available on PC in early access. For someone like me who enjoys testing combat flow and combo mechanics, this version feels too early. Frequent updates constantly shift the balance of the game.
The good news? Hades II is also coming to both Switch and Switch 2. That means console players won’t be late to the party — they’ll jump in right where it matters. And I’ll be waiting for that final, polished version.
