Ghost of Yōtei Releases October 2, 2025 on PS5

Sucker Punch is back with a new chapter in its samurai epic. Ghost of Yōtei, a standalone sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025.

Set in 1603 in Japan’s Ezo region (modern-day Hokkaido), the game follows Atsu, a young warrior who seeks revenge against the brutal “Yōtei Six” responsible for destroying his family. But this isn’t just another tale of vengeance—Atsu’s path leads to unlikely allies and a new purpose, expanding the narrative beyond pure retribution.The game blends open-world design with player freedom. You can choose which targets to eliminate first, uncover side stories, take on bounty hunts, and meditate by campfires to unlock Atsu’s memories. From mastering new weapons to discovering hidden masters who teach combat techniques, Ghost of Yōtei encourages exploration and personal pacing.

Pre-orders begin May 2, with Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions available. Exclusive content includes in-game armor, a new horse skin, and collector’s items like Atsu’s ghost mask and katana tsuba.
