Cronos: The New Dawn Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Bloober Team’s New Survival Horror Game Coming to PS5, Xbox, and PC

Following the haunting success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team is stepping away from established franchises with a bold, original horror experience: Cronos: The New Dawn. The studio revealed the first gameplay footage today, giving us a glimpse at what looks like one of their most ambitious projects to date. Check out the trailer below.

Set across two dramatically different time periods—1980s Poland and a post-apocalyptic future—Cronos casts players as a time-traveling survivor tasked with saving key people from supernatural extinction. The threat? Twisted humanoids known as Orphans, mutated and monstrous in design, and definitely not here for peaceful coexistence.

What sets Cronos apart is the new Merge mechanic: downed enemies aren’t just corpses—they’re a liability. If you don’t burn their bodies quickly, they’ll fuse with other enemies on the battlefield to become something even worse. It’s a clever twist that adds a strategic layer to combat and forces players to think fast under pressure.

With its unique dual-era setting and brutal survival elements, Cronos: The New Dawn looks like Bloober Team pushing beyond their comfort zone—and leaning into full-scale horror innovation. It launches later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
