Switch 2 Game File Sizes Revealed
Nintendo has shared the file sizes for its first wave of Switch 2 games. The increased scope and visuals are reflected in the larger storage needs, signaling that players—especially digital ones—may need to plan their storage ahead and consider high-speed SD cards.
Switch 2 Game File Sizes:
• Mario Kart World – 23.4 GB
• Donkey Kong Bananza – 10 GB
• Super Mario Party Jamboree – 7.7 GB
• Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 5.7 GB
• GameCube Nintendo Classics – 3.5 GB
Additional Upgrade Files (Enhanced Editions):
• Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Switch 2 Edition – 9.7 GB
• Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Switch 2 Edition – 3.6 GB
• Kirby: Star-Crossed Upgrade Pack – 5.7 GB
Switch 2 will support microSD Express cards for faster load times. However, with prices around €60 for 512 GB, storage expansion won’t come cheap.
