Gameshare lets Switch and Switch 2 Users Play Supported Games Together.
Nintendo has officially confirmed that its new GameShare feature will be compatible with first-generation Switch systems but only in supported games.
Newly developed Switch 2 exclusive titles won’t support backward sharing.
The following games were confirmed to support GameShare across generations:
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics
Super Mario Odyssey
Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain
GameChat will be free until March 2026, after which a Switch Online subscription will be required.
